Megadeth (USA)

Megadeth is one fourth of the "thrash metals' Big Four". The band was formed by (and, perhaps, has held its top positions due to) vocalist/frontman/song writer/composer and just a genius Dave Mustaine.

In the U.S. only, four Megadeth's albums have been certified platinum, six records have been certified gold, and the band's received seven Grammy nominations for Best Heavy Metal Performance.

As a rock outfit, contemporary MEGADETH features first of all a very high-quality sound with well-written instrumental parts. Here you have an accurate and harmonious performing with improvisations at times, which emphasize originality of guitar pieces. Actually, the best collaboration in the band's entire career was between Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman, and the two musicians were renowned for powerful guitar combats, which was quite uncommon for such a guitar egoist as Dave. Their album RUST IN PEACE is a classic of the genre.
