Many times they have been hailed by the public and the critics as the best rock and live band of the CIS. Okean Elzi feature an expressive and devoted concert drive – an affecting combination of the genuine Slavic lyricism and the mighty energy of rock music – it’s all about Okean Elzi.
In their 15-year career the musicians have won an incredible bunch of awards, almost annually receiving Best Band of the Year, including three prestigious nominations at the 2006 Expert ShowBizAwards for Best Rock Band of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year; January of 2007 brought them four prizes at the Ukrainain Rock Awards; April of 2007 came with the FUZZ music awards for Best Rock Band and Best Live Band of the Year in the entire CIS.
Currently Okean Elzi are working on their seventh studio record. By the way, most of the band’s albums have gone platinum, and two of them on the date of release (“GLORIA” and “Mira”).
But first, before presenting their new material, the musicians would like to remember all the best they have created over 15 years of the band’s existence. Two nights running, on December 4 and 5, 2009, Moscow’s B1 MAXIMUM Club is going to see Okean Elzi – in two parts! Both gigs’ set lists include OE’s best, yet different, songs. Besides, Part 1 and Part 2 will be featuring the band’s unfailing energy, drive, live sound and a most pleasant present from Okean Elzi – a concert premiere of a single from their upcoming album which is due for release in the early 2010.
