Okean Elzi (UKR)

On July 24, please welcome the legendary band Okean Elzi to B1 Maximum!

Many times they have been hailed by the public and the critics as the best rock and live band in the CIS. Okean Elzi feature an expressive and a devoted concert drive – a unique combination of the genuine Slavic lyricism and great energy of rock music.

In the fourteen years of their existence, they have won numerous awards; many times they have been awarded Best Band of the Year, including 2006’s Expert ShowBizAwards, where the band won three prestigious awards (Best Rock Band of the Year, Album of the Year, and Performers of the Year). January of 2007 brought the band four prizes at the Ukrainian Rock Awards, and April of 2007 saw Okean Elzi receive another bunch of awards for Best Rock Band and Best Live Band of the Year in the whole CIS region at the FUZZ Expert Music Awards.

Two out of six albums of the band went platinum on the days they were released (2005’s GLORIA and 2007’s Mira).

By the way, currently Okean Elzi are working on a new album.
