On August 27, his highly anticipated gig will be held at B1 MAXIMUM.
Several times he’s been going to come to Moscow. But due to various reasons, his gigs have been cancelled. The main British debauchee’s rise to fame is quite short but very hot. In 1997, Pete Doherty and Carl Barât dropped their studies and formed a retro rock band called The Libertines. The band ended after the release of their second album in 2004 as a result of Pete’s really heavy hard drug use – which, however, didn’t stop Doherty from forming a band called Babyshambles, where he’s been playing from time to time with varying success ever since, moving between music and endless drinking-bouts, arrests, battles with drug addiction, acts of public repentance, and even totally futile intentions to reform The Libertines.
March of this year saw Pete release his solo album Grace/Wastelands, most tracks of which – ballads, and mainly melody-free ones – will be performed at his Moscow gig.
