Status Quo (UK)

Status Quo is the oldest band on the British pop rock scene. Francis Rossi's band has been afloat since 1962 (including the band's first phase when it had such band names as The Scorpions, Specters, and Traffic Jam) - which is at least no less than The Rolling Stones' lifetime.

1991 saw Status Quo enter The Guinness Book of Records for playing four concerts in four UK cities in the space of 12 hours. This undertaking was succeeded by a national tour which confirmed their status of a mega band.
