Suzanne Vega (USA)

With her fresh and unconventional approach, Suzanne Vega since the very beginning of her career has come to the front in the bumper crop of female singer-songwriters who rose to prominence during the late ’80s and early ’90s. As a singer, composer and poet, Suzanne Vega has conquered the hearts of the audience with her stylish folk-pop songs and deep, elaborate and ironic lyrics.

Suzanne was inspired by Leonard Cohen and, later, Bob Dylan and Lou Reed. Her hit single “Luka” helped convince record companies that folk singers were not a thing of the past and that female singers on the whole really had something to say.

Suzanne Vega is going to show at Moscow’s biggest B1 Maximum Club what has been accumulated over the years and what is still a “classic”.
