Tequilajazzz (RUS)
Despite the fact that almost all Tequilajazzz members have gone through the Leningrad Rock Club, the band has no hint of what the Russian rock music is traditionally considered to be. A blend of hardcore and industrial plus experimental rock – something like that was used to describe the Tequilajazzz music in the brutal mid 1990s. After the release of the album “Celluloid” in 1998, the band switched from the hopeless extremes of the minor key, augmented by the rough and uncompromising sound, to the moderate major key. The outfit delighted unsophisticated public with radio hits such as “Zimneye Solntse” (Winter Sun) and “Tema Proshlogo Leta” (Last Summer’s Theme), and stunned their fans with the smash hits “Krome Zvyozd” (Except the Stars) and “Aviatsiya i Artilleriya” (Aviation and Artillery).
Now, just like ten years ago, Tequilajazzz are forging ahead, experimenting extensively in search of a new sound – one of the fundamentals of their upcoming album. The musicians are going to reveal some of their search results at B1 MAXIMUM on June 19.
